A little whisky was tasted

1 img_0824A selection of our former staff enjoying the whisky tasting and talk given by Rory Souter from the Whisky Society. We even had whisky cake, courtesy of Auria, to add to the enjoyment!

Fittingly, it was an educational as well as enjoyable event, held in the Upper Apex cafe at Merchiston. Star of the show, undoubtedly, was Richard Honour, former head of Publishing and Printing. His appearances at events have been sparser of late, due to the difficulty of negotiating his wheelchair. But the venue was completely accessible, and he was able to meet friends and colleagues again.

Rory coped admirably with questions from the audience,  blending knowledge with wit and humour. There were requests for a follow up, so please, if you’d like to pitch in with ideas or information, just contact one of us.

Visit our Facebook page here to see more pictures from the event.
